Silencing the Noise


Noise!?

Yes. The Noise. Evil monsters, and no, I don't mean your brother's Stereo. Rather, the Noise are animal-like creatures- beings who have no apparent free will, seeking simply to devour the Souls of those around them and multiply. Invisible to those in the RG- The Real Ground, or, dimensional in which humans live in, they are invisible. In the UG- The Underground, the realm in which Players and Reapers exist in, Noise can be seen.

All Noise have common traits, such as the unusual shapes of their body. Noise are always fashioned as in a form of animal- Possibly suggesting their wild souls. Noise's powers vary, though they are deadly in any form they're seen in. Noise are peculiar in nature- They will only directly attack individuals when commanded by Reapers, or when a Player without a partner is present. But typically, they leave individuals such as Partnered players and Reapers alone.

A Basic Noise

Noise are Souls who still carry a physical forms of sort, either bound into a Pin by a Reaper or by the negative emotions the Soul carries. Many Noise will leech onto individuals humans, feeding off their depressions, absorbing away their Soul. These Noise do not harm them over short durations, however, if a Noise leeches upon a Human for long periods, it will result in the Human's early death. Noise are special in this way, capable of interfering in the RG, yet at the same time existing in the UG.

Noise Pins are Noise bound into a Pin, allowing a Reaper holding it to command them. These Noise will be bound to the user's will, unlike their free counterparts, and will be far more organized, do to the mind holding them. As most Reapers are prevented during the game from directly attacking Players, they will use Noise to fight in their stead, holding back Players from their objectives. On occasions, Noise are also part of Missions, whether simply their destruction or as well their locating.

Noise Control


What is it?

Noise Control represents the number of noise a single Reaper can control at once, as the manipulation of several is a difficult task. To be able to do so, Reapers must have minds capable of multi-tasking, as each noise is an unstable being which cares not for loyalty. Because of this, Broadcasters excel in this ability, capable of stretching themselves between that which they control. The amount of Noise that a Reaper can summon is equal to the level of their Noise Control.

Essentially, a Reaper with rank 1 Noise Control can only control one Noise at once.
