Week 1 Day 1 - Bouncing into the underground

The background slowly comes into focus, a mesmerizing curse dissipating from their minds. Distinct and familiar sounds are heard. Footsteps all around them, shouts of joy and anxiety. People hurry on past you as you lay upon the cold cement. The sun shines above, friendly as ever. Yet then comes memory- Ruining all the pleasantries with a single recollection. I'm dead, comes to mind.

Realization floods you as the West Terminal comes into focus. Parked near you are several buses, advertisements covering their sides. Vehicles come and leave, the constant bustle of Shibuya a mesmerizing thing. Teenagers heading home from shopping, a young man hurrying to his job, spilling coffee as he runs, a group of friends meeting by the Moyai statue, reminiscent of the Moais of Easter island. You swallow the difficult truth. You're no longer among the living.

And it sucks. The Game has Begun!!

Warmth it was a familiar feeling but yet something was missing. Kazuhiko clutched his chest and opened his eyes,then shielded his peepers from the sun. "Nice weather. So am I really dead?" Instantly his life ran through his mind, birthday parties, friends, school, church, funeral, the bridge...the bridge. He was dead and it sucked. Heaven huh I lived my life in the ways of the Lord, so what happened? A few other questions came to mind but as he lie on the cool cement he remembered what the voice and told him about a game a regaining his life. "Crazy I'm crazy those miracles happened in the bible,right?" He pulled himself up, he realized where he was the bus terminal on the west side of Shibuya only because of the famous Moyai statue.

People were waiting, people were laughing, talking enjoying their wait for the bus, others going to the underpass, some tourists taking pictures by the Moyai statue. What was Kazuhiko supposed to do? He wasn't told of the rules, the objectives, all he knew was that there was a prize at the end,life. "Ahh!" He opened his fist a slow trickle of blood flowed from underneath two buttons. One decorated plainly with a black background and white skull. The other more detailed in a purple background with a figure in the middle while it the figure had electricity radiating from him. He licked and sucked his cut, then cleaned the pins with his shirt then attached them to his black hoodie. "Cool." It was a good distraction from this dismal reality.

All of a sudden a large man in a suit awkwardly fumbled down the sidewalk, Kauhiko ran towards him to help the Suit but as he held his arms out to catch him, the Suit slipped right through his arms and landed with a resounding thud the coffee flying into the air landing on a babies lap,dripping hot liquid onto his mother's lap, she became infuriated and concerned yet was able to calm herself down, then got up from the bench and looked at the Suit laying on the floor and extended a hand to help him up. What a fatass making a mess if my child wasn't here I would kick his ass. Wait, what the heck was that? Kazuhiko noticed that she wasn't saying a thing yet he could hear her voice. He was getting the truth, from her but how? "Man this is way too weird maybe just maybe Hard Gay is gonna pop out on me." He was lying to himself to ease his nerves. Anxious yet excited at the same time he hoped for that voice to speak again,he needed someone to help. He plopped down near the Moyai statue leaning his back against it, his eyes closed, praying.

Grace had just woke up not remembering what had happened how she got here to this place then it hit her the man in the parking lot the fucking creep who went to far. She tried to smile for the simple fact the last thing she remembered was bleeding to death but since she saw no more blood and felt fine wanted to shrug it all off with a great big wide smile but when she tried to move her muscles to smile she couldn't her jaw closed shut on her she couldn't smile. She then scanned the area for anyone in sight she saw no one then a thought came into her head "I'm I in hell?" then another "What happened to Rene?" these questions began to continually plague her mind so she just began to walk in search of someone with answers she wasn't just going to sit here with an idle mind she needed to do something.

Expelling the breath from his lungs he opened his eyes and looked up once again. How could it be such a nice day and yet he was dead? Kazuhiko lifted himself up and began to think about his friends,his hand covered his face as he began to weep. It was over, he was totally ignorant to what was supposed to be done to win and return to life. As the tears trickled down his face he wanted to see them, I wonder if they miss me at all. He hoped that they would be in the park, their normal hangout. "Hah get yourself together Kazuhiko you can't be emotional." Using his forearm to wipe his face clean he focused his mind. He might as well go enjoy his friends enjoying life and then figure out what to do when he was in better spirits. He sucked in all the air around him till his lungs were full. "WHO IS IN CONTROL HERE?!!"

As he heard no immediate answer he started walking in the direction of the statue,the which was the quickest way he knew how to get to Miyashita Park. While he walked he took notice of the people but as he meant nothing to him they meant nothing to him. He still dodged people as they walked by,he wasn't used to just phasing through them yet. Oh how he wished someone was in the same boat as himself. Walking north he could faintly make out the famous sitting dog ~Thump~ he hit something,invisible. After picking himself up he stroked his chin then like a mime in a box he began to feel this wall. "Am I stuck in here or am just holding myself back?"

Finally.

They had finally woken up from their rather violent lives, reaching where she was watching them with her prying eyes. It was fun to be on the other side of the wall this time, and not the one experiencing confusion due to unfavorable circumstances. And while the opportunity to grab freedom and life presented itself in front of Naoto, she preferred to stay behind, garnering a new goal. It was life or death-- a new round of the game. This time, she was prepared for everything.

Prepare for one heck of a ride.

Were her thoughts, holding onto what was... a pin. It was a smallish sized one-- black background. There was nothing else of importance for her, just that small pin; a source of power. How fun it was to grasp on something new for a change. It should be, since Naoto picked this instead of becoming real and returning to life once again. Shaking her head, she noticed one of the two walking... walking... walking to a wall.

There and then, something rang. A phone? Their cellphones. They had them, regardless if they had one when they died or not.

He could hear a soft ringing, his head and body began to spin then he dismissed the sound as he told himself it probably belongs to one of the living people. The ringing intensified he looked down at his belt and looked at his phone. He had received an intriguing text;

"So I can get reception while I'm dead." he began to punch in his best friends digits but nothing happened. He raised his head towards the sky and threw his phone into the air. Something caught his attention, it looked like two ravens hovering in the air. He covered his right eye and with his left open he looked again. it was confirmed two raven like creatures soared in the sky, normally he wouldn't pay birds any mind but seeing as they had a certain look to them he wondered what they were up to.

~Crash~ He phone another victim of gravity shattered on the floor, he cringed at the sound reminding him of a time where he failed on attempting a Wacky Turtles. "Crap, how am I going to receive weird texts now?" Kazukiho was a bit too distracted to remember what the text read all he could remember was Central Street. Yet with this wall in his way he couldn't figure out how he was to pass. He stood at the "wall" thinking he could use some more time to understand what was going on.

Suddenly, a simultaneous beep occurred from each of their cellphones, so unified that it would only make sense that it was from a single person. If they checked the message, a short text without a known source would reveal it self.

Go to the Shibuya Crossing.

All dead punks have no less then an hour to make it.

Darkness, everything was black. Dizziness, even though everything was black, it still went round and round. Sickness, a feeling of puke went through her throat, and the thought made her even more sick. The smell of urine and shit, just like the sewer went through her nose... now; her own puke as well. "It's dark, it hurts, it stinks, it's hell!" she whispered to herself while thinking how heaven could be. Shaking, like the remote control when you gets hit during gameplay, just that your're inside the control. Brigth light with constantly flashes digging a deep whole in your eyes. The smell changed, the sewer smell flew up, or down, there was no wind, no ground, you didn't knew the directions. Whiles the darkness faded away, the bright light came closer, the shaking became more powerful, the sound of something warming up for a huge explosion. And... Silence.

Beep... Beep... Beep... An unfamiliar ringtone ran through the air, it was moist and comfertable, but, the smell had again changed. Again, it smelled like urine, shit and her own puke. "Back to Hell?" she laughed lowed, since her headache made her hurt. Beep... Beep...Beep... Something rang, Reitouki didn't recognize the ringtone from anywhere, but it was close. Shaking, something down in her pocket shaked, it was like if someone was freezing down there. There was no more darkness, it was bright, but it was too bright for her to see anything, anything at all. She felt blind, but her senses were brilliant. She could easily reach for the ringing cellphone down her pocket, yes it sure was a cellphone, the shape of it, it fits. The bright light cleared away while holding the cellphone, traffic could be seen, and when the things around her became visible, the sound it made became hearable. It was like a barrier around her was released. "Hello, hello?" Reitouki answered as she put the telephone to the ear. It was nobody there, nobody had rang the number at all, it was a text message.

She was glad for the message she got, but still, she didn't understand any other words then 120 minutes and The Reapers. She had countered those words many times in her games, so she knew what they meant. But the other words, no idea. "What the hell is this suppose to mean? Damn... I can't read it. I have to do something in 120 minutes, or the Reapers are gonna do something? Uh... I'm screwed! If I am correct, there is a destination, and I have to solve a puzzle. Or, there is a race? God, what is it suppose to mean? I got it... If one of the words are a destination, I can compare it to... other words in the city". Reitouki didn't understand anything and tried her best in comparing her message with signs.

Beep... Beep... Beep... the sound repeated itself.

Go to the Shibuya Crossing.

"Ok, the first word is always on the screen when you start a race. Ready, set, go! Yes, Go is the word. That means I have to go to something something. Dead, an hour, Die, Game Master?. The message is from the Game Master? Ok, this is by far, the most scariest game I've ever played" Reitouki stated and kept doing her buisness with the comparing signs to her message. "They're the same, the same the name!" she shouted like she had an army of support right behind her. She found the direction of Central Entrance Street. She ran down the street, jumping. "I foun..." the sentence wasn't finished, because of something invisible, a wall? There was something that wasn't right around here.

His ears picked up a distinct sound, it was his phone. How the heck was it able to still work. He walked a few feet from the wall and looked down at the many pieces of his phone. Somehow the screen was still intact and on it displayed another text. He lowered himself on one knee and read the text.

Go to the Shibuya Crossing.

The game master huh? Wasn't that supposed to be the final boss? Why would he be gathering us already didn't it just start? Maybe he wants to have a little meeting. Kazukiho chuckled at his joke, this was a happening just a bit too fast and how would he even reach Shibuya Crossing without clearing the wall in front of him. He looked back into the sky, those birds were still there eying him menacingly yet they didn't attack. Where they under someone's control? At the exact moment when he turned to face the wall he witnessed another person, shorter than himself with a funky afro hairdo, hopefully a cool person, who seemed to come across the same obstacle he did.

Maybe this was his chance to make a friend in during this game. "Yo, if you can hear my voice come here and poke my forehead." He concentrated his focus on the person hoping to read her thoughts but it failed,weird maybe...he hoped with all his might that this person was in the same boat has himself. Then he thought about his wish, he had hoped that someone has died, damn I need to repent.

An invisible wall, the first obstacle in this deranged game, possibly created by an insane man who was granted power by god. But he will soon realize; that this wasn't the way the power were meant to be used. That was at least how Reitouki thought of all this, because that's how one of her games ended. Punching, kicking, swearing, nothing worked, the invisible "wall" still stood there, the appearance; unknown. It was silent, you could hear the sound of a guy, throwing some garbage out of his lacking resturant, it was sure an empty street. A voice from the east, a man, a young man asking for Reitouki to poke the guy's forehead?

But that wasn't the worst part, he could see her, when she was looking around for signs, the people there could... pass through her. Just like the wall; invisible. Could it be a Reaper or even worse; the Gamemaster? But after all, it could be one of her own, it would be like a online massive Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game. Would she take the chance, yes, she would. Starting to meander around, yes, she didn't go direct forwards, she went zigzag. Close, her body almost touched his, she smirked, pointed her finger to the side and let it slide towards the man's forehead. "Boom..."
